Hi Eduardo, Thank you for posting here. Wednesday, July 29, AM. Hello, sounds that hey logon before the network setup is complete and used the cached credentials. If so, disable it People would complain about the lengthy logon times actually they do this.
I don't understand why that warning bubble doesn't appear. Shouldn't it show up after the policies are refreshed, right after the logon process?
Hello, slow logons can have multiple issues, do you use roaming profiles or folder redirection? Well, talking about the slow logon, we believe that most of times the user's own machine is the problem. I mean, the users themselves install softwares that run at startup, slowing down the logon.
Our antivirus software has its part on it too. Some info: we only use local profiles, no folder redirection, and no external DNS. Our DNSs servers are Linux based. All the network configuration is done manually, no DHCP. I can post the ipconfig results. Do you still need them, even after my explanation? But I'd like to know if there's another way If this is the case you don't have to. But if your users are local admin, you said they are able to install software, then maybe they changed something?
Yes, all users are local admin, due to a lot of! But even I and my machine suffer the problem password expiration warning not appearing , and I'm pretty sure its network config is right. Hello, your workstation use a complete different ip range then the DNS servers. Thanks in advance frndly bala.

Monday, May 14, AM. Next time, please do not post the same question more than once. Password expiration notifications are no longer supported in the Microsoft admin center or any Office apps. People who only use the Outlook app won't be forced to reset their Microsoft password until it expires in the cache. This can be several days after the actual expiration date. There's no workaround for this at the admin level.
If you want to prevent your users from recycling old passwords, you can do so by enforcing password history in on-premises Active Directory AD. See Create a custom password policy. In Azure AD, The last password can't be used again when the user changes a password. The password policy is applied to all user accounts that are created and managed directly in Azure AD. This password policy can't be modified. See Azure AD password policies.
This article is for setting the expiration policy for cloud-only users Azure AD. I have been with Microsoft for nearly three years and this is my first blog post.
Have you ever had a need to configure notifications for user's password expirations but found that existing solutions didn't quite fit the bill? More often than not, these users will have to call the helpdesk because they had no idea their domain passwords were going to expire.
Statistics show that some of the most common calls to the helpdesk are password-related and implementing a process like the one covered here could really make a dent in your helpdesk call volume and costs. Recently, a customer asked for some help implementing a solution for this issue based on a script they'd found on the Microsoft TechNet Script Center. The script queries the pwdLastSet attribute of user accounts in AD and the MaxPwdAge property within the domain, then does some time computations and sends an email to those users who are near a password expiration 'event.
I thought it would make a helpful blog post to cover some of the details and considerations when implementing a solution like this. The particular script my customer found was the work of Microsoft MVP Robert Pearman and he deserves the Kudos for initially putting it together, as well as several refinements to it including support for Fine Grained Password Policies.
You can download the script from the following link. Click on the blue box and save the file to a workstation or member server. Obviously, a DC would work but likely isn't the best choice. If you already have an "admin server" system where you have existing scripts, tools, Scheduled Tasks, etc.
