Not a bad gun the money. As the author stated above, the accuracy of this gun is good. As I pulled them out it left scratches on the sides of the brass. Low brass loads were not a problem. Came out with ease.

Although I am going to contact Stoeger about the safety. Over my 11 year old son, Hunter, gives it a 4 out of 5!!

I would consider myself a beginner skeet shooter and this gun does just about everything I need it to. I have the 12ga and I would say the recoil is extremely manageable. Additionally the gun is easy to be accurate with and safe too because the safety automatically engages after opening and closing the action. One flaw I have noticed in addition to not having ejectors is that because you can only use the bottom barrel when shooting one round at a time the bottom firing pin wears down over time and using inexpensive ammo with harder primers such as estate or federal can provide an inconvenience as the firing pin is occasionally unable to properly strike the primer.

As well the gun only comes with IC and M chokes that are flushed which is, in my opinion, unexciting but again this is a gun for beginners so you get what you pay for I suppose. My dad bought me a 20 gauge from a guy in church two decades ago. The stock is a little loose now but I will shoot it over his Ruger Red Label any day. I have had zero issues, not with firing, parts or anything. The Condor is reliable, true and will give you years of quality shooting. Hopefully my experience with the gun is as good as your experience has been.

Great gun. Ran several thousand rounds thru it then it quit. Your email address will not be published. Better Gear for Cheaper. Skip to content. Alex Joseph Alex Joseph is an avid bow hunter and father of two boys. Ideally, both of the trigger pulls on a double-barreled should feel and weigh the same.

But, this was not the case on the Condor I. Both pulls had an above average amount of takeup. The top of the rib was serrated to prevent glare. Two choke tubes, rated as Improved Cylinder and Modified, and a wrench were provided with the Condor I. Both chokes provided appropriate shot patterns that had fairly uniform pellet distribution with Fiocchi No.

In 20 gauge, its or inch barrels have 3-inch chambers and fixed chokes. The bores are hard chromed for corrosion resistance and longer barrel life. However, we thought its metal work was inconsistent. Tool marks were noted inside the receiver and on both sides of the barrel block. The top surface of the barrel block was unevenly contoured. On the positive side, the barrels were joined by a vented full-length rib.

The two-piece stock was made of nicely-grained walnut with a smooth semi-gloss finish. Its checkering was neatly cut.

Wood-to-metal mating was very good. The removable forend locked solidly onto the gun. Our Judgments This American Arms digested everything we gave it without malfunctioning. The well-balanced Silver I was lighter and slimmer than the Stoeger Condor I, as a 20 gauge model should be.

Consequently, shouldering was easier and target acquisition was faster. Some of our shooters found the comfortably-shaped comb a little too high, so they had to press their face down onto the stock to obtain a good view of the sighting plane. That being said, I could really do without the factory-installed brass bead sights; I much prefer the fiber-optic front sights found on their M and Double Defense Coach Gun. Additionally, they did a great job with incorporating a nicely sized trigger guard with smoother curves for improved ease of use.

It was with this in mind that they crafted the 12 gauge Longfowler. The Condor Supreme is a step above the rest; in addition to its AA-grade American walnut stocks , it features the performance-boosting single, selective trigger and automatic ejectors. Equally as impressive is the Condor Competition Shotgun.

Besides for gold selective triggers and ported barrels, these Condors were given top tang safeties, pistol grips with right- or left-handed palm swells , and a totally adjustable combs. This superior shooting — largely in part due to their affiliation with the two aforementioned Italian icons — is consistent through the entire line of Condors, especially with the Supreme and Competition.

Unfortunately, Stoeger advises Condor-owners to avoid firing steel shot down the barrel, so bad news for duck hunters. In fact, I recently found this video where they put the notoriously fast lever-action Adler A Shotgun up against a double-barrel and the first to fire 10 shots wins. In the end, it was just about dead even. Since , Stoeger has served the American sportsman with its rugged and dependable line of semi-auto shotguns.
