We have GB data around 1 Million files and around 70K folders :- i actually kind of tried your solution already on one specific folder but i failed as there where sub Folders. You probably wouldn't need to go deeper than two levels anyway. The question is where the exception occurs, on the source or on the destination. You probably file sharing to get to the files.
