Windows xp home edition sp2 oem cd key

There is a prior recommendation to use "key finder" which I tried , hope that is a good key it lists. Magic Jelly Bean will return an accurate key for the installation of XP running on your computer. Please though read my whole discussion. The key will not work for a reinstallation of a pre-imaged XP done by the computer manufacturer using the restoration media provided. You use the key written on the side of the computer case on a Certificate of Authenticity sticker. If you are missing the sticker, it is nearly certain you do not have a valid license for Windows XP.

I got the key it is on top of the computer case and very difficult to read thanks for the tip. TonyT ,. I have v and I have the i and all the other and I dig out my 5 yr. With the aid of a strong light and a magnifier I salvaged the real and noted it. They sure do fade over the years Chas. You must log in or sign up to reply here. Show Ignored Content. Copy link. Thank you so much!! The wizard says the key has expired and I need to use a different one. I've needed to use my computer since the reformat so I used up the day grace period without activating the OS. I don't have any other keys and I can't afford to buy another OEM disk at the moment. What should I do? I use my computer primarily for school and work so I need it up and running again asap.

It was working fine before I had to reformat, activated no problem the first time around. I bought this CD some time ago maybe a year from Tiger Direct. The copy seemed legitimate and the key worked fine before.

I typed the key ending in "DP37T" into Google and no matches were found I was planning on trying the telephone activation sometime tomorrow but if my key is confirmed non-genuine that's probably not going to do me any good.

I wouldn't think that Tiger would sell me a counterfeit key so I don't know what to do now. All I know is my school work isn't going to get done now, but I should have sorted out this mess before the grace period ended. I am not at all worried about losing data, other than all the installed drivers and such, because all of my personal files are on a separate drive than Windows XP. Like I said, I've never had activation issues before with this copy Thank you for the information, I am going to start looking at my options now.

Tuesday, January 20, AM. I think it is your 30 day activation grace period that has expired. You will receive a 3-day grace period for activation. During that time, run the activation wizard.
